Exploration, Excitement, Experiences. They're what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. And no, you don't have to be “advanced” to take it – it's designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water Diver course.
The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.
You'll hone your skills by completing five adventure dives that introduce you to:
Semi-Private Classes are designed for 2 or 3 people. As private students you will recieve one-on-one instruction with the instructor. You will get to make your own schedule and pick your Adventure Dives. We recommend Wreck since there are many wrecks in South Florida for you to explore. Night is also one of our recommendations, you will see lots of new life that only comes out when the sun goes down.
To take this course, you must be:
PADI's Adventures in Diving Manual provides information on more than 15 types of specialty diving.You'll use it as a guidebook to improve your diving skills and prepare for new experiences and adventures.
You use all the basic scuba gear.
You will be required to have an underwater compass, primary light, backup light, tank light & knife or line cutter.
You are required to either rent our equipment or have your own.

As a private class you can set your own schedule.
You will need one day/evening to complete the academic instruction & 2 days to complete the checkout dives.
There are 5 open water dives in the ocean down in Pompano Beach. a 2-tank dive completed on the first afternoon, typically a night dives and a 2 tank dive the following day. Since you can complete this course any day of the week if a night dive is not available you will have a 3-tank dive on the second day.
