What You Learn

The AWARE - Shark Conservation Specialty course teaches you about the vital roleyou can play in the marine environment. The course also familiarizes you with the current state of the world's shark population and how you can help. 

• The conservation status of sharks, why they are unique and vulnerable, and the importance of healthy shark populations.
• How to manage threats to sharks, recognize the value of sharks and remove barriers to conservation.
• Actions you can take to protect sharks and how joining a global movement of divers can help to protect sharks.

 You will need to download & read the Shark Conservation Study Guide for class. 

Your Next Adventure

You may want to brush up on your underwater photography skills so that you can document and capture images of the sharks you’re encountering.

Due to the charter, we use, you must be Advanced and Nitrox Certified. Please be aware, you will need dark colored fins, Pink, White & Yellow will not be allowed on the dive. 

Prerequisites

• Download the required PADI Medical Form*
• Advanced Open Water
• Enriched Air Certification
